Why PebbleTec?
Aqua Concepts Inc. in Tarzana Ca has partnered with Pebble Tec for over 35 years and is designated as a Pebble Tec “Elite Builder”.
Since the late 1980’s Aqua Concepts has maintained “Elite Builder” status with PebbleTec for countless years in between. Although many pool-construction companies offer PebbleTechnology product applications, very few companies have mastered the plaster-conditioning process over 3-4 weeks of labor to make each (PebbleTec, PebbleSheen, PebbleBrillance, PebbleEssence, and PebbleBreeze) exposed-aggregate finish show virtually no plaster in-between each of the stones once completed; referred to as the “start-up” process. Why is this important? This is required to have an ultra-smooth and consistent finish for all exposed aggregate applications to ensure no undesirable clumps of plaster or uneven stones are visible anywhere on the finish pool/spa shell. Areas of the shell finish left neglected by a less-than-thorough start-up procedure may scale or delaminate prematurely and can even lead to future pool-water loss.

Most pool companies perform a simple 5-day start-up procedure. After that period, Aqua Concepts is just getting started with an in-depth, 4-week long start-up process by comparison; where most companies simply move on to the next job within a week or much less.
